Terms of use

Below is how the platform actually works. A formal agreement hasn't been drafted yet — and we say so plainly instead of hiding it behind generic wording.

Document in progress. The terms of service need to be drafted by a lawyer practicing in Belarus. Until that happens, we won't publish text that looks like a contract but isn't one. This is a deliberate choice: invented legal wording is more dangerous than having none.

Until an agreement exists, the platform runs on the rules described on this page. They're built into the software itself and applied the same way to everyone.

What the platform does

Kvaterka is a place where a host publishes a listing, a tenant finds it, asks questions, sends a request, and leaves a review after the stay. The platform keeps the messages, confirmations, and dispute decisions.

What the platform doesn't do

  • Isn't a party to your deal. The rental agreement is between the two of you. Kvaterka isn't a party to it.
  • Doesn't take rent or a deposit. You pay the rent to each other directly.
  • Doesn't guarantee the condition of the property. Moderator review of a listing is a review of the listing, not of the flat.

Platform fee

The host is charged 5% after a completed stay confirmed by both sides. How the fee is calculated.

Rules the platform enforces itself

  • Contact details aren't shared until a booking is confirmed — this protects both sides.
  • A review can only be left after a stay has taken place, one from each side.
  • Both sides' reviews are published at the same time.
  • Financial records and the action log are immutable, including for staff.
  • A listing goes through moderation before it's published.

Disputes

A dispute is opened from the booking card. A platform staff member decides it based on the message history and the check-in/check-out marks. The decision is logged and can't be rewritten after the fact.
